Wow, I never knew that they was a lawsuit filed against Wealthy Affiliate. I’ve been reading other reviews about it but this is the first time I’m reading this. Well, I’ll say that a good business stand the test of time. I’m a newbie to affiliate marketing and would love to know if their training will help me succeed online.

    1. Jason

Michael they can definitely help you with that and in fact it is a specialty of theirs.

However, it is not a magic bullet that will make all these wonderful things fall in place for you, but if you put in the time and effort required, you will have success if you implement what WA teaches you.

  2. Lisa

Having a FAQ page is a brilliant idea. When joining something new people have a hundred  and one questions about the platform, the training, there new website . It will be great to point them to this post to get there questions answered. How often do you update it?  Is it true that it’s free to join and there are no up Sells?  The premium membership is fixed for life?

    1. Jason

As for your 1st question, I update it as soon as anything new is released. For instance when the new Black Friday (2020) price is released I will immediately update. to reflect that.

It is true that WA is free to join without ever being upsold on anything. Something else is that you can remain a free member for life.

3rd question, the premium membership has been raised a few times since Wealthy Affiliate launched in 2005, 2 to be precise, and whatever the price was when you joined will be the price you continue to pay.

For as long as your membership is kept active.

If you have anymore questions feel free to reach out to us and we’ll do our absolute best to help to answer them for you.

  3. Suz

Wow, I have not had anyone give me so many details on wealthy affiliate here and answer all of the most important questions that I had about the platform. I already joined the WA Program two days ago and I was already considering going premium but I had some questions that I needed answered first.

Just wanted to say a quick thank you because you have been able to do justice to my inquisitiveness.

    1. Jason

Suz, Your very welcome and if you should ever need any help with anything at WA feel free to connect with me their.

Just search for Familyman82 and shoot me a message.

  4. Ann

Hi Jason. I found very useful that you touched this topic about the lawsuit in which Wealthy Affiliate was involved. It’s quite ironical that shortly after MOBE was shut down. I have been reading a bit here and there but haven’t found a complete article on this topic. But what I already know about Wealthy Affiliate has convinced me that it’s worth giving it at least the free trial try. Do you know if this year Black Friday will also be tagged at $299?

    1. Jason

The price that I have listed here is from last years deal event so it may be different this year since the price of admission in WA has increased.

I do not have the actual set price but I will know for sure by the end of this month (Sept.) or early next (Oct.).

On thing that’s for sure, it will be an incredibly discounted price. Especially for everything you can get from a WA membership.

  5. Ling Tse

Hello Jason, thank you for your post.

You mentioned that there was a lawsuit against Wealthy Affiliate, and I have seen this showing up in Google when I was searching for information.

Kind of of putting as a person looking to join.

Is this lawsuit still going on?

If so, do you know when this lawsuit was filed and finished?

    1. Jason

Yeah I get where you’re coming from but I can assure you that it is no longer a concern.

I’m not sure on the exact dates but I can give you a few ballpark figures if you would like.

It was filled in 2013/2014 and was dismissed in WA’s favor in  2015/2016.

Again, not sure of the exact date but those are the years I found in my research.

  6. Jude

Hi Jason, thank you for sharing these details about Wealthy Affiliate. I have started on the website with wealthy affiliate since December 2019 and I loved the step by step training.

I have done all the levels of the basic training and consider to start Bootcamp training soon. I love Wealthy Affiliate and the helpful community is paramount. If the strong support network wouldn’t be there within WA I wouldn’t be where I am now.

The black Friday sale is great and such a great price for a whole year membership. How long did it take you to make your website profitable? Great idea to add Frequently Asked Questions about WealthyAffiliate, it makes things very clear.

Have a great day and I am looking forward to hearing from you.

    1. Jason

      Hi Jude,

Personally, I made my first sale after 4 months of implementing what I learned from WA and began to earning recurring commissions (enough to pay for my membership + a few bills) around the 8 month mark.

It has been steadily growing since.

It’s important to point out that there were times that I was considering giving up but now I’m glad I didn’t.

So, stick with it, your time to shine will come.

  7. Diane

As a long time member of WA, I can vouch for the insight you provide. While it may not be for everyone (it’s not a get-rich-quick scheme and definitely requires plenty of work and studying to succeed!) it is a time tested and proven program. If you are willing to dive in, study, and then implement the steps, it works!

And part of the beauty of WA is that it does not depend on you living in any certain area or country. Since you are promoting affiliate products, you are merely suggesting the product, while providing a lot of useful content in the form of articles. All of the marketing: selling, processing orders, shipping, etc, is managed by the company (not WA– but the company that sells the products you promote)

Thanks for a great write up on an amazing program! You have provided information I can easily share with my community.

    1. Jason

Well said Diane and thanks for adding value for others that come after you.

  8. Bruce

Really great to see the Q&A on affiliate marketing, specifically WA.  Definitely gets people the answers they need to join the program or not.  Are you seeing a burst in members?  How often do you update the Q&A.

Some good news about the lawsuit as well, didn’t know much about it.  Following the links you have are also very helpful.  Are there bonuses available?  How long does it take to actually make money using the techniques taught in training?  Thanks for all the good information!  Take care.

    1. Jason

      1. I wouldn’t call it a burst as much as I would call it an incremental increase year over year. In other words, they increase membership sign ups at about 2% a year for the last 5 years.

      2. As soon as I become aware of changes to WA, I update these Wealthy Affiliate FAQs.

      3. If you ask me, the entire membership is a bonus.

As for tangible bonuses, those are found mostly with the Black Friday Deal plus every year the owners add a few live training “Bonuses” .

      4. The techniques they teach show you how to build a stable base on solid current practices so getting to the point of earning an online income can take longer but you don’t have to worry with it collapsing as business trends change.

As for a timeline, it depends on a great many metrics but usually around 6-9 months.

Hope this helped, but if I left you hanging just shoot me another comment or use our contact us page.
